The Seafood Café by Niall Sabongi
☝️ Our reasons for recommending:
- Fresh, locally sourced ingredients
- Oyster happy hour discounts
- Delicious seafood dishes
The Seafood Café by Niall Sabongi is an excellent experience. The fresh, locally sourced ingredients provide such a great variety of dishes that eating at the restaurant feels like a luxury without breaking the bank. I was especially impressed with their oyster happy hour which offers 50% off from all oyster plates and 18€ for half-a-dozen naked oysters. The whiskey sour cocktail was better than any Pisco Sour I ever had in Peru, and all of the items on my plate were cooked to perfection – including the risotto which usually isn't my favorite dish.
For service, it's prompt but slightly slow due to having so many orders at once but still lovely overall. Prices are definitely worth it considering what you would have spent in other parts of Dublin or developing countries! Not to mention they make sure your carbon footprint while eating there stays low since they're sourcing all local providers whenever possible!
In summary, if you want a seafood feast and don't mind being patient with serving time then The Seafood Café by Neill Sabongi must be visited when visiting Temple Bar Districts! From freshly shucked oysters right down to the delicious risotto, you'll appreciate how much effort goes into every meal here prior going out of this place completely satisfied!

Fish Shop
☝️ Our reasons for recommending:
- Fresh fish and chips.

- High quality ingredients.
Fish and Chips in Dublin is an experience you've got to try, and I highly recommend the Fish Shop at 76 Benburb St to get it. Apart from its fantastic fish selection, they have a great wine list featuring natural wines. The staff there was super knowledgeable and enthusiastic, taking time out of their busy schedule just for us.
The best thing about dining at the Fish Shop is that every bite represents quality. The fish is amazingly fresh—just bursting with flavor when cooked—while their chips are crispy on the outside yet pillowy soft on the inside. People rave about how good their food is for a reason! We opted for takeout due to our schedule, but I'm definitely making sure to fully dine in when we come back again someday so I can sample even more dishes from their menu alongside some wine pairings .

Beef & Lobster
Beef & Lobster is an extraordinary restaurant that offers a unique dining experience – the perfect combination of delicious and affordable. From the moment we entered, we were welcomed with warm hospitality from the staff and saw how passionate they are about their craft. The décor is delightful, taking you on a journey to create a memorable culinary experience.
The menu features succulent steaks, tasty lobsters and other exquisite seafood dishes – all made from locally sourced ingredients of high quality. We opted for the Ultimate Beef & Lobster Experience platter, which was nothing short of amazing. The tender truffle-infused steak combined perfectly with one side serving of lip-smacking lobster bisque; it simply melted in our mouths! The complimentary accompaniments included a freshly made garlic butter dip that added just the right flavor without overpowering any dish's flavors.
Topping off this magnificent meal was one of Beef & Lobster’s famed desserts – Creamy Cheese Cake – served in its crispy form and topped with luscious berry compote; I had tasted nothing like it before! They clearly put great thought into what they produce as their dessert menu also featured some more unusual but equally delightful concoctions, such as Deep Fried Banoffee Pie! Overall this gastronomic excursion to Beef & Lobster leaves me impressed after every visit – both for its quality food offerings and outstanding customer service standards at fair prices. Any visitor or local should certainly give them due attention when wandering through Temple Bar area in Dublin 2!

Cavistons Restaurant
The location of Cavistons Restaurant is perfect; situated right on the seashore in Sandycove, Glasthule in County Dublin, it is a welcome break from the bustle of city life. The interior design evokes an atmosphere that could only be described as both calming and inviting.
During our visit to Cavistons Restaurant we sampled their new menu items which had us all speaking highly of their appeal. Little Mike's is a top destination for delicious seafood and creative dishes that can't be found anywhere else. Everything we had was fresh, flavourful, and prepared to perfection. The staff were friendly, cordial and helpful in finding the right dish for our taste preferences. The restaurant also caters to gluten andmild dairy intolerances which makes it accessible for those with dietary restrictions too. With proper tableside service required by Covid restrictions compared to their usual bustling eatery full of happy-go-lucky customers chatting up the waitresses in between sips of drinks…..it just goes to show how much they care about each and every customer experience being as close as possible to pre-Covid times at Little Mike's!

Beshoff Bros Dame Street
Beshoff Bros. on Dame Street in Dublin is the perfect place for those who have difficulty finding gluten free food options. They offer a wide variety of delicious choices on their menu, including fish and chips, seafood boxes, and a great selection of beers! The smoked cod fish was delicious, the portion size generous and the prices very reasonable. Furthermore, my husband with Celiac was able to enjoy these dishes with no worries!
The atmosphere inside Beshoff Bros. was pleasant and welcoming – not too cold or overly noisy like some other establishments tend to be when full of customers at night. Service staff were accommodating throughout our visit as well; they checked up on us occasionally to make sure we had all that we needed without being intrusive or overbearing. My family felt really spoiled by them!
The best part is that although this restaurant could get crowded due to its popularity sometimes during peak hours – making seating arrangements an issue – there are plenty more outdoor seating spaces available which provide cozy spots ideal for enjoying your meal in peace… even if it’s chilly outside:). All-in-all I highly recommend visiting Beshoff Bros., especially if you’re looking for a fantastic gluten free/Celiac friendly option that won't break your budget!

The Oar House
☝️ Our reasons for recommending:
- Delicious seafood dishes.
- Wide variety of wines.
- Reasonably priced beers.
The Oar House is worth visiting for its exceptional seafood dishes, pleasant atmosphere and attentive staff. The restaurant offers a wide array of small and large sharing portions that range from calamari to mussels, oysters and grilled fish. With each meal accompanied by an interesting selection of wines or reasonably priced beers, patrons are sure to have an enjoyable experience with friends or family.
If casual dining in Howth is what you're after then The Oar House provides that too. With both indoor and outdoor seating lined up next to moored yachts, the decor creates a unique ambiance while still being causal enough to kick back with some good conversation over great seafood servings. Plus their wall paintings throughout give the space character; something I rarely see at restaurants these days!
