☝️ How we rated the services below:

We understand that quality and experience are key. We have carefully curated a list of criteria to help us select the top contenders for this highly specialized cuisine. From ambience to authenticity, here is what we've considered:

  • Authenticity: At the heart of a great sushi restaurant is an unwavering commitment to authentic Japanese flavours and techniques. We look for places that offer traditional ingredients expertly prepared by skilled sushi chefs.
  • Freshness: Sushi is all about freshness, so we pay close attention to the quality of the seafood used in each dish. Are they sourcing their fish from reputable suppliers? Is there a daily delivery system in place? These are questions we ask ourselves when evaluating freshness.
  • Variety: A standout sushi restaurant should offer a diverse selection of rolls, sashimi, and nigiri options. We appreciate establishments beyond the basics and experimenting with unique flavour combinations or seasonal specials.
  • Presentation: Just as important as taste is presentation. The artistry of arranging each piece of sushi demonstrates attention to detail and elevates the overall dining experience.
  • Ambience: The atmosphere is crucial in setting the mood for delicious sushi. Whether it's through minimalistic interiors or elegant decor inspired by Japanese aesthetics, we seek venues that provide an immersive dining environment aligned with their culinary offering.
  • Service: Exceptional service can elevate even good food into an outstanding culinary adventure. Promptness, attentiveness, and knowledgeability are traits we value when assessing how well a restaurant treats its guests.
  • Value for Money: While quality should never be compromised, reasonable pricing adds value to any dining experience. We consider whether portion sizes align with price points and evaluate if our meal was worth every penny spent.

⭐ A Personal Take on Fujiyama Restaurant Dublin:

Fujiyama Restaurant Dublin exceeded all my expectations and left me craving for more. With its impressive menu, attentive service, and unforgettable flavors, it is truly a culinary gem in the heart of Dublin. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm smiles and a vibrant atmosphere.

The food at Fujiyama is undoubtedly the star of the show. Every dish I tried was bursting with freshness and scrumptiousness. The Bento box with chicken teriyaki was an absolute winner – tender chicken coated in a mouthwatering sauce that had me licking my lips after every bite. And let's not forget about the miso soup; usually not my first choice, but Fujiyama's version was incredibly delicious.

What sets Fujiyama apart from other restaurants is their attention to detail and impeccable service. Not only were they prompt with taking orders and serving food quickly, but they also made sure to attend to any questions or requests we had along the way. The staff's knowledge of the menu could be improved when it comes to suggesting dishes upon request; however, this minor flaw did not dampen our experience in any way.

One cannot write a review without mentioning the stunning view of O'Connell Street that can be enjoyed while dining at Fujiyama. It added an extra layer of charm to an already memorable evening.

Yamamori North City

Yamamori North City

⭐ Our Unvarnished Impressions of Yamamori North City:

Yamamori North City, what a gem of an Asian restaurant tucked away on Ormond Quay Lower in Dublin. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that transported me straight to the heart of Asia. The friendly and helpful staff only added to the experience, making me feel right at home.

Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness! The taste explosion that awaited me was simply incredible. The spicy wagyu ramen was out of this world; every mouthful took my taste buds on an exciting journey. And don't get me started on their chicken dishes – pure perfection! Though I must admit, the Sake being slightly expensive at 15€ for a glass didn't dampen my enthusiasm for recommending it.

The attention to detail at Yamamori North City is commendable. The lovely atmosphere complements the amazing food perfectly. On one visit, my friend who lived in Japan for years joined me, and even he gave his seal of approval to their authentic cuisine. We enjoyed bluefin tuna sushi and shared a spider roll along with indulging in some mouthwatering tonkotsu ramen – just heavenly!

If I had to nitpick (and trust me, it's tough), it would be regarding the spoons provided for noodles; they could do with being larger-sized soup spoons to enhance the overall experience even more.

In conclusion (oops!), Dublin has no shortage of sushi restaurants worth exploring, but Yamamori North City stands out from its competitors due to its vibrant ambiance and lounge-like setting perfect for date nights or evenings spent with friends. Their extensive menu ensures everyone finds something delightful while prompt service guarantees you won't wait long before devouring those beautifully crafted nigiri pieces or tasty tempura treats.

So why not treat yourself? Head over to Yamamori North City where you can embark on a culinary adventure through Asia without even stepping foot out of Dublin. Trust me, you won't regret it!

Now let's talk about some of their standout dishes. The Chicken Katsu Curry was perfectly portioned – filling but not leaving you feeling overly stuffed. The crispy chicken coated with Katsu curry had just the right amount of spice as per our request. Then there's the Grilled Spiced Chicken Ramen which packs quite a punch if you enjoy spicy food. The chicken was cooked to perfection and immersed in a delicious broth that left us craving more despite its generous portion size.

And how can I forget about their sushi platter? It had some real gems on it like their salmon sushi and avocado sushi – absolutely delightful!

Yes, Musashi IFSC may be slightly pricey but trust me when I say it is worth every penny considering what you get: phenomenal food combined with an incredible atmosphere in such a prime location.

So don't wait any longer, head over to Musashi IFSC Sushi & Cocktail Bar and indulge in a sushi experience like no other. You won't regret it!

πŸ‘ Our Reasons for Recommending:

  • Fantastic sushi and sashimi for all tastes

Banyi Japanese Dining

⭐ Our Honest Opinion of Banyi Japanese Dining:

Banyi Japanese Dining, oh how I love this place! Let me tell you, if you're craving some fresh and delicious Japanese cuisine, this is the spot to be. From the moment you step inside this small and nicely decorated restaurant in Temple Bar, Dublin, you'll feel the excitement building up. Sure, the entrance might look a bit messy, but don't worry – once you settle into your seat, all will be forgotten.

The waiting staff at Banyi are absolute gems. They go above and beyond to make sure your dining experience is top-notch. Not only do they keep those drinks topped up (because let's face it, who likes being parched?), but they also genuinely care about your satisfaction with the food. And speaking of food…

Plus, their portions are perfect for sharing – ideal for someone like me who loves trying a little bit of everything. Melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Dragon rolls and California rolls? Simply scrumptious with no room for error whatsoever! And let's not forget about those mouthwatering fried noodles with juicy chicken coated in just-the-right-amount-of-soy-sauce goodness.

Did I mention that everything arrived at our table faster than lightning? Seriously though, efficiency meets superb flavor here at Banyi Japanese Dining. As somebody who adores exploring new culinary delights around town, trust me when I promise you won't leave disappointed from this little gem. So go on, give your taste buds a treat and have yourself an unforgettable Japanese feast at Banyi!

What are the benefits of eating Sushi?

Sushi has long been considered a healthy and delicious food option, and for good reason. Here are three benefits of eating sushi that may surprise you.

1. Sushi is low in calories.

A typical sushi roll contains only about 200-250 calories, making it a great option for those watching their weight. And, since sushi is typically made with lean fish or seafood, it’s also a relatively low-fat food.

2. Sushi is a good source of protein.

Fish and seafood are excellent sources of protein, and sushi is no exception. A single sushi roll can contain upwards of 20 grams of protein, making it a great option for a post-workout meal or snack.

3. Sushi is rich in omega-3 fatty acids.

Omega-3 fatty acids are a type of healthy fat that offer a host of health benefits, including reducing inflammation and lowering blood pressure. These fatty acids are found in abundance in fish and seafood, and sushi is a great way to get your omega-3s.

What are the different types of Sushi you can find in Dublin?

Sushi is a Japanese dish that has become popular all over the world. It is made with vinegared rice and typically includes fish or seafood. There are many different types of sushi, and below I will explore some of the most popular ones.

Nigiri sushi is perhaps the most well-known type of sushi. It is made with vinegared rice and a topping, which is usually fish or seafood. The topping is usually placed on top of the rice with the help of a small amount of wasabi.

Maki sushi is another popular type of sushi. It is made with vinegared rice and nori (seaweed paper). The rice and toppings are rolled up in the nori and then cut into pieces. Maki sushi can be made with a variety of different fillings, but the most popular ones are cucumber, avocado, and tuna.

Temaki sushi is a type of sushi that is similar to maki sushi, but the difference is that it is rolled into a cone shape instead of being rolled up. This type of sushi is often made with salmon, avocado, and cucumber.

Sashimi is a type of sushi that does not contain rice. It is simply raw fish or seafood that is cut into thin slices. Sashimi is often served with soy sauce and wasabi.

Finally, there is also a type of sushi called chirashi. Chirashi is sushi that is served in a bowl with vinegared rice and a variety of toppings. The toppings can be anything, but they are typically fish, seafood, or vegetables.
