☝️ How we rated the services below:
In our quest to find the best Chinese restaurants in Dublin, we focused on several key aspects that we believe are crucial to an outstanding dining experience.
- Authenticity of Cuisine: We prioritized restaurants that offer a genuine taste of Chinese culinary traditions. The flavours and dishes must reflect the rich and diverse food culture of China.
- Quality of Ingredients: The freshness and quality of the ingredients used play a significant role in our review. We look for restaurants that source high-quality, fresh ingredients to ensure the food not only tastes good but also respects the integrity of Chinese cuisine.
- Ambience and Service: The dining environment and the level of service contribute greatly to the overall experience. We appreciate restaurants that provide a welcoming atmosphere, combining both comfort and authenticity, with staff who are knowledgeable and attentive.
- Menu Variety: Given the vast regional diversity within Chinese cuisine, we value restaurants that offer a wide range of dishes. This allows diners to explore different flavours and dishes, from classic favourites to regional specialities.
- Value for Money: While not the primary criterion, we consider the value of money as an important factor. This doesn’t mean the cheapest option, but rather the quality of the dining experience relative to the price, ensuring diners feel their meal was worth the expenditure.

Located in the heart of Camden Street, Hang Dai Chinese is a restaurant that will make sure to leave an unforgettable impression on you. From its funky interior to the lively music and friendly staff, this place radiates with excitement as soon as you walk through the door. The food is nothing short of mouth-watering! Whether it’s Connemara oysters or dumplings, everything tastes heavenly. If you fancy trying out something new, their taster menu would not disappoint – I can promise you that!
However, if spicy food isn’t your forte then maybe steer clear because it does pack a punch.
One characteristic of Hang Dai Chinese which sets them apart from any other eatery is their club events once kitchen service ceases – what fun! They’re offering guests more than just dining but an experience filled with dancing and cocktails too – we are talking about going all out for entertainment here!
The only let-downs seemed to be regarding some starters in terms of proportions and seasoning used.
That being said though; on balance I would still consider this restaurant worth recommending – especially when accompanied by friends or family – they’ll love it even more!. It’s definitely one for those looking for a memorable night-out catered around delicious oriental dishes paired with upbeat vibes– so book ahead (it gets busy) and get set for an evening never-to-be-forgotten!

M&L Szechuan Chinese
⭐ Our Honest Opinion of M&L Szechuan Chinese:
M&L Szechuan Chinese is a must-visit restaurant in Dublin for anyone who craves authentic and spicy sichuan cuisine. The restaurant provides excellent customer service, with staff catering to your order requests, ensuring that you receive food customized just the way you like it. You’ll be welcomed by fairly standard Chinese music and ambiance while dining in this unfussy setting which perfectly reflects the atmosphere of many traditional restaurants found within China’s major cities.

Not all dishes on the table hit their mark; however those we tried were sufficiently tasty – altogether one can’t fail to appreciate how good this place happens to be at delivering bold flavours.

But it’s the food that truly blew me away – every dish we ordered was packed full of flavor and incredibly fresh ingredients.
One standout dish was the charcoal grilled pork belly in Sichuan spices – each bite had just the right amount of heat without overpowering the rich flavor of the meat. And if you’re a fan of seafood, be sure to try their cod in chilli and garlic with sprouts and black fungus – it’s absolutely divine! Even better, everything on their menu is reasonably priced so you won’t have to break your bank to enjoy these gastronomic delights.
Of course, no review would be complete without mentioning service. While our server wasn’t always attentive as we would’ve hoped, once we did manage to get their attention they were helpful and courteous enough. In all honesty though–the exceptional quality of both dishes more than made up for it in my opinion.. All things considered; from its mouth-watering cuisine to unbeatable value & pricing– visits simply cannot miss out on experiencing what makes the notable Hilan Chinese & Korean Restaurant worth getting excited about!

They have a dedicated menu for coeliacs and those who are on a gluten-free diet. The staff was friendly and welcoming with excellent service all around.
One of their standout dishes is their Gluten-free calamari, which tasted amazing! The dish had that perfect balance of tenderness inside and crispiness outside that one would expect from fresh calamari. Moreover; it’s probably the best-calamari we’ve ever found in Ireland!
