Boland’s
⭐ Our Genuine Review of Boland’s:
Boland’s, oh how I have missed you! Stepping foot into this famous bar in Stillorgan was like stepping back in time. The layout and decor exuded a timeless charm, with posters and pictures on the walls as old as the building itself. I instantly fell in love with the ambiance, it had a good vibe that made me feel right at home.
The music playing in Boland’s was fantastic, creating an atmosphere that was impossible to resist tapping your feet along to. The staff were efficient and friendly, ensuring that every customer felt welcome. And let me tell you about those quiet corners where you could enjoy a drink or two away from the hustle and bustle of the main bar area – pure bliss.
Now here comes my only gripe: the pint I ordered wasn’t up to par. Maybe Bud isn’t their specialty or perhaps it just didn’t flow quite right, but either way, it didn’t taste quite as it should have. However, despite this minor setback, everything else about Boland’s scored top marks for me.
Having waited three long years before coming back to Boland’s again meant seeing some changes – a newly cleaned-up space and pleasant setups all round. Although they used to serve food before my first visit (which I missed dearly), there is still hope that they will bring it back soon.
If you’re looking for reasonably priced pints and cocktails while enjoying great sports coverage accompanied by fantastic music in a pub full of character – look no further than Boland’s! It won’t disappoint.

Stillorgan Orchard
⭐ An Unfiltered Assessment of Stillorgan Orchard:
Stillorgan Orchard is an absolute gem of a place tucked away in the heart of Dublin. From the moment we walked through the door, we were met with friendly smiles and warm greetings from the staff. Even though we didn’t have a reservation, they graciously offered us a reserved table until it was needed later on. That kind of hospitality sets them apart right from the start.
Now let’s talk about the food. Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? The Guinness bread that accompanied our soup was absolutely divine. It was rich and flavorful, perfectly complementing the hearty broth. And speaking of hearty, their burgers with chips were to die for! Juicy patties nestled between soft buns and served with crispy golden fries – it doesn’t get much better than that.
The prices were reasonable too, considering what you’re getting in terms of quality and portion sizes. For 70€, we had two soups, two burgers with chips, and three drinks – well worth every penny spent.
I must mention Conor and his team who made our experience exceptional. They went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction throughout our time at Stillorgan Orchard.
