Best Breweries in Dublin

Ever wondered what makes Dublin’s breweries so special? I’ve embarked on a quest to discover the finest breweries in this vibrant city, and let me tell you, it’s been an adventure of hops and barley! Each brewery in Dublin is a unique story of passion and craft, brewing not just beers but experiences that linger long after the last sip.

Head straight to our Top List👇

From classic stouts to experimental ales, the diversity in Dublin’s brewery scene is astounding. It’s not just about the drink; it’s the atmosphere, the people, and the stories behind each pint that make each visit memorable. I’ve wandered into hidden gems where traditional methods meet modern creativity, resulting in flavours that are as rich and varied as Dublin’s own history.

And what’s a good beer without great company? The camaraderie and warmth in these breweries are as comforting as the beverages they serve. Whether you’re a seasoned ale aficionado or new to the world of craft beers, Dublin’s breweries offer a welcoming space to explore, taste, and enjoy.

So, ready to discover the magic behind each brew? Let’s dive into the heart of Dublin’s brewery scene together and uncover the best sips this city has to offer!

☝️ How we rated the services below:

Exploring Dublin’s breweries, I focused on several key aspects to determine the best ones:

  • Beer Quality and Variety: The heart of any brewery is its beer. I prioritised breweries that offer a wide range of high-quality beers, from traditional stouts to innovative ales. A great brewery for me is one that constantly surprises me with its flavours.
  • Ambience and Experience: I believe the atmosphere of a brewery is crucial. I looked for places that provide a unique and inviting atmosphere, making the beer tasting experience more enjoyable and memorable.
  • Knowledgeable and Friendly Staff: Interaction with staff who are passionate and knowledgeable about their craft enhances the experience. I value breweries where the staff can provide insights into the brewing process and offer personalised recommendations.
  • Food Pairings: A brewery that offers a selection of food that complements their beer adds to the overall experience. I appreciate places where the food is thoughtfully paired with their beers, enhancing the taste of both.
  • Sustainability and Innovation: I have a soft spot for breweries that are innovative and committed to sustainability. Breweries that use local ingredients or have unique brewing methods score high in my book, showing a dedication to both quality and environmental responsibility.

The Porterhouse Brewing Co

The Porterhouse Brewing Co

☝️ Our reasons for recommending:

  • Tight ship & great staff
  • Flawless beer range
  • Guest beers worth trying

I had the chance to visit The Porterhouse Brewing Co in Cabra West, Dublin, Ireland. It was a great experience that I would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the area. From the moment we stepped into the brewery and were greeted by Brian, who runs it all; his hospitality and knowledge about every beer made us feel at home.

The Porterhouse offers their own range of beers on tap, with each one being a flawless representation of its given style. They had plenty of guest beers worth trying too – ranging from pale ales to porters and stouts – so everyone could find something they love. My favorite was definitely their Gorilla Stout in aid of Dublin Zoo (which is also available for purchase online if you can’t make it down).

Aside from having an impressive selection drink choices and exceptional customer service, what really sets this brewery apart is their passion and dedication to creating quality craft beers as well as giving back to important causes such as supporting local animal charities like Dubai Zoo. This places gives you an authentic brewing experience whilst allowing you support people and places that need help! So definitely give them a try if your ever in town!!

Urban Brewing

Urban Brewing is a definite must to visit spot, if you’re in the Dublin area. With 919+ reviews and 4.3 out of 5 stars on Google, it’s no wonder why this place has screaming success! Aside from some good beer selection (which all tastes really good), I found their dessert options to be something quite unique too – with flavours that had fresh balance of sweetness and lovely texture. The service here was top notch – the waiting staff were friendly andvery attentive throughout our meal.

Although prices can be a bit steep (thought they were worth it!), eating without blankets still got us feeling more heat than we expected inside the restaurant itself. That being said however, Urban Brewing is simply stunning location-wise as well; situated right by at The CHQ Building along Custom House Quay near IFSC alike brings an ambience that everyone enjoy greatly for special occasions or just for another mealout with friends or family.
