The friendly staff and lively clientele instantly made me feel at home. And let’s not forget about the live Irish music that filled every corner of this wonderful establishment.
The service at Taaffes Bar was top-notch. Rhiannon went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. She even helped one of our group members with a walker by kindly assisting her through the double doors. It’s these little acts of kindness that truly set this place apart.
But it didn’t stop there! When we mentioned our desire to visit Kilbeggan Distillery, Rhiannon approached her boss who then connected us with a local taxi driver willing to take us there and back. This level of personal attention and care is something you rarely find elsewhere.
And let’s not forget about the drinks! The Irish coffees were exceptional, as was my first taste of Jameson’s Irish Whiskey from its homeland – an experience I’ll always cherish.

Tom, Caroline and the entire staff welcomed me with open arms, making me instantly feel like a regular. It’s no wonder this is my favourite pub in Galway!
First things first, let’s talk about their Guinness – it is simply outstanding. Each pint poured with precision and care to create that perfect creamy head on top. This alone would be reason enough for me to visit The Bunch Of Grapes time and time again.
Another thing that sets this place apart is its peaceful ambience. In a world where loud music seems to dominate every establishment you enter, it’s refreshing to find one where you can actually have a conversation without feeling like you’re shouting over the noise. Sitting amidst the eclectic furniture that oozes comfort, it was all too easy for me to relax and soak in the charm while sipping on my tea. And let me tell you, their tea selection is as impressive as their decor.
One thing that truly stood out during my visit was the exceptional service provided by Molly. She went above and beyond to ensure that my children felt welcome and catered to their every need. Her helpfulness and friendliness made our experience all more enjoyable.
