Dunne and Crescenzi
☝️ Our reasons for recommending:
- Excellent Italian cuisine
- Friendly and prompt service
- Affordable wine selection
We recently visited Dunne and Crescenzi, which came highly recommended by a family friend. From the roaring pizzas that makes your mouth water to pasta dishes so creamy they could be mistaken for clouds on earth, we can safely say it lived up to all expectations.
The service team were lovely and prompt throughout our visit – feeding us with drinks (including an amazing Italian wine selection) throughout at appropriate times in-between courses. Not once did it feel as if we weren't being taken care of properly, despite how full the establishment was! We particularly enjoyed their Ravioli special dish too – cooked just right! Coupled this with the bruschetta starters, gnocchi mains and tiramisu desserts – each course making us contemplate a return trip already by the time it had finished!
All in all – visiting Dunne &Crescenzi felt like we were transported straight into Italy without leaving Dublin city centre. With delicious meals accompanied by good value prices make this place worth visiting again & again !

Da Mimmo
☝️ Our reasons for recommending:
- Excellent hospitality
- Fantastic pasta dishes
- Unique pizzas
Da Mimmo is a great place for an evening out! The atmosphere of this small Italian restaurant oozes charm, and despite its modest size, the tables are laid out in such a way that you feel comfortable enough to linger over your meal. This familial atmosphere makes it so much more than just quality food – it’s an experience.
The menu includes both classic dishes such as cannelloni and penne alla carbonara, as well as delights like pulled pork pizza – something completely unique! But what really stands out is the pasta- they offer ovum with black truffle sauce or Pecorino and tomato which we absolutely adored. You can also choose pizzas ranging from traditional Calabrese with broccoli, zucchini and spicy salami to new rivals with pulled pork that provide hours of conversation without words!
To top it off staff at Da Mimmo adds a personalized touch; our waitress was approachable yet discreetly offered great suggestions about both drinks choices for our pairing menu and desserts. To sum up: if you're looking for amazing Italian cuisine coupled with excellent hospitality then look no further than Da Mimmo – definitely worth visiting!!!

La Caverna Restaurant and Wine Bar
☝️ Our reasons for recommending:
- Friendly, attentive staff
- Delicious food
- Romantic atmosphere
La Caverna restaurant and wine bar is a lovely place to visit, especially if you’re looking for a romantic dinner. The atmosphere is special with its three floors, underground cellar-like setting and brick walls – it creates an intimate ambience that makes the experience even better. Aside from the decor, their staff are very friendly and attentive which was definitely noted as we found our waiters to be top class!
The food here can't be faulted either. Every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection – from the delicious Bruschetta appetiser all the way through to dessert (the vegan brownie did not disappoint!). Other notable mentions must go to the lamb shank which melted in your mouth; and don't pass up on trying their peppercorn sauce too!
Finally they also have a large selection of wines available – they pair great with any dishes you order. All this considered I would absolutely recommend La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar for anyone looking for a silent evening out or indeed someone wanting something more than what's usual in Temple Bar district.

Il Vicoletto
☝️ Our reasons for recommending:
- Authentic Italian food
- Welcoming staff and service
- Impressive wine selection
The Il Vicoletto restaurant in the Temple Bar of Dublin is worth a visit. From start to finish there are numerous reasons why this spot stands out from other Italian restaurants I have visited. To begin, their concierge team has some of the best reviews in all of Dublin with over 1,000 positive Google reviews and an impressive 4.6 stars rating. Not only do they offer attentive service and wide-ranging wine selection but also prepare exquisite meals that doesn’t require one to break the bank as entrees ranged moderately depending on one’s preference near or around €27 euros.
Furthermore, through its highly recommended bruschetta starter dish combined with seabass served crisply, there lies no doubt that this restaurant offers excellent value as far as quality goes especially when looking to experience a gastronomical journey while dining here; not forgetting portions were hefty enough for those who love a good appetite but just didn't want something too heavy either! The staff are incredibly welcoming and accommodating which makes it even better despite having to book tables earlier due to its popularity at times.
Finally what's curious about this venue is quite intriguing due being an off-the-beaten track gem hard find by tourists yet more memorable than if found elsewhere given its cozy environment perfecting exciting conversations among new acquaintances eating gathering around some really delicious food graciously listed on menu! All throughout it simply warm hospitality felt from every server involved within my time spent making me appreciate then came back afterwards without regrets tasting complimentary gelatos forming lasting memory anywhere else could ever compare to – Il Vicoletto truly lived up recommend gift keep giving with each bite taken!

Pacino's Italian Restaurant
☝️ Our reasons for recommending:
- Friendly staff.
- Tasty food.
- Great value.
The staff at Pacino's Italian Restaurant are a delight. From the moment of being welcomed through until leaving, our experience was terrific. The waiters and waitresses were experienced and considerate in making sure that everything we knew about the dish before ordering it was just right for us. Food orders were taken promptly and politely, drinks quickly delivered to tables, attentiveness ensured whether refilling glasses or adding more salt when requested.
The food is simply outstanding; from their exceptional Mozzarella & Tomato Salad to their generous Steak Sandwich made to order with draft beer on the side – nothing seems too much trouble here with great attention paid to detail for even simple items such as ensuring freshly grated Parmesan Cheese comes with each dish, providing beautifully arranged side salads free of charge and offering an extensive selection of wines alongside obviously excellent house beers.
Finally it should be mentioned that Pacino’s Italian restaurant offers value for money against many similar restaurants in Dublin city centre: courses are ridiculously reasonable while still delivering excellent quality food combined with top-notch customer service – You won't regret visiting this place!

Rosa Madre
☝️ Our reasons for recommending:
- Unique dining experience
- Quality preparation & presentation
- Engaging Portuguese staff
The Rosa Madre restaurant is an absolutely unique experience worth visiting. From the second you arrive, their outstanding service and atmosphere make it clear that this place stands out from any other dining establishment in the area. Not only are Luca and his staff warm and welcoming, but they offer creative dishes with top-notch ingredients. Their starters are delicious – especially the squid with vegetables and oysters – while the pasta may be slightly underwhelming compared to more expensive restaurants. Additionally, desserts like Ferrero Rocher or tiramisu will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth!
Overall, what makes this restaurant most impressive is its presentation of food – not only is each dish subtly beautiful, dinner tableside finishing usually flambé cooking have given many diners a meal akin to one of their Top 10 Dining Experiences ever. The salt crusted sea bass specialty comes highly recommended for anyone wanting a full course dinner packed with flavor; this unforgettable experience alone serves as enough reason to visit Rose Madre at least once in your life!

Cirillo's
☝️ Our reasons for recommending:
- Lovely authentic Italian food
- Great wine and friendly staff
- Close to St Stephen's Green
Cirillo’s is an Italian restaurant located in a great location on Baggot Street Lower, Dublin. The place has amazing reviews, and I had the chance to experience why it was so well recommended.
The atmosphere in Cirillo’s is really nice; you can feel the warmth of authentic Italian cuisine. Service was friendly and fast, they even gave me a complimentary glass of Prosecco for my birthday! To start our meal we shared fried calamari which were cooked perfectly – not too oily or too greasy. For mains we got pizza and veal ragu: both dishes cooked according to traditional Vera Pizza Napoletana standards using San Marzano tomatoes, 00 flour, fresh mozzarella all finished in their wood fire oven as slow-proved 30 hours recipe from their head Pizzaiolo Daniele Accardo and five stars for that! The house wine also accompanied our courses nicely.
As I enjoyed my delicious food I noticed some local customers who told me how much they appreciate this place as well – no surprise here! They provide smaller selection than other restaurants but what Criollo offer are awesome quality products worth visiting for sure! Amaze yourself with lip smacking food at Cirillos that come in such amiable surroundings along with wonderful service will leave long lasting impression at the end of your visit – a fantastic experience from start to finish awaits every tourist who walk through its doors!.

When visiting Bottega Toffoli you are guaranteed a warm, cozy atmosphere and delicious food! The variety of pizzas they have available will make sure everyone can find something they like. The ingredients are high quality, so there is no doubt the pizza will have an amazing flavor. Furthermore, their staff is very friendly and accommodating – when my son asked for chillis on his pepperoni pizza, the chef took it upon himself to infuse that in the sauce instead! Forno 500
☝️ Our reasons for recommending:
- Authentic Italian cuisine
- Friendly service
- High-quality ingredients
Forno 500 is a fantastic Italian restaurant located in the heart of Dublin's Temple Bar area. The location alone is worth visiting for its beautiful old Irish architecture and bustling atmosphere, but the real charm lies within the food itself. Their pizza dough is some of the best I have ever tasted – perfectly crisp yet still soft enough to cut through with a spoon. The Margherita and Forno 500 pizzas are especially delicious; topped with wafer-thin slices of fior di latte cheese, tomato sauce and fresh basil that make my mouth water just thinking about them!
The restuarant shows off its Italian roots more than adequately by providing fresh pasta dishes cooked just like they would be in Italy; you can taste each element brought together using herbs, garlic and olive oil to create exquisite dishes full of flavour. As if this weren't enough, their entrées offer even more variety such as fish served on chargrilled vegetables or steak tartare dressed up with gremolata – a veritable feast awaits your taste buds here!
Finally, Finishing off your meal with one of their desserts will take you straight back to Italy without wasting any time at the airport – Cannoli siciliani filled with ricotta cream and amarena cherries are an absolute must try option for anyone who truly loves sweet treats! Overall it’s clear why Forno 500 has earned over 1805 reviews from happy customers: between its convenient location in Temple Bar, quality ingredients sourced from all around Europe (and further) and consistently friendly service it makes an ideal spot for families looking for delicious authentic Italian cuisine.

I Monelli Authentic Italian Restaurant
☝️ Our reasons for recommending:
- Attentive wait staff
- Cozy and clean setting
- Excellent wine selection
I Monelli Authentic Italian Restaurant is an excellent place to eat and have a fun time. It has great decor with cozy but clean seating, making it ideal for groups and families. The food was generally quite good – the appetizers were quickly demolished, and everyone was satisfied with their meals. The wait staff are attentive yet not overbearing, really adding to the experience. They made some great recommendation about dishes of the day which we all appreciated.
The wine menu that I Monelli offers its customers is particularly noteworthy; they have opened up possibilities from different regions from around Italy such as Sicily or Barbaresco red wines, which carried this meal off spectacularly – creating further joy within our group! With value for money in mind eveything seemed right on point – apart mussels where not the best so one suggestion would be to give customer some Italian bread or another simple side dish/sauce that could bring these premium ingredients alive on plate!.
To conclude, my visit to IMonelliauthenticItalianRestaurant proved enjoyable and highly recommended; giving me a warm level of genuine hospitality coupled with top-notch cuisine sets them apart from other similar restaurants in Portobello, Dublin 8 D08 E0C0 area.}

La Dolce Vita
☝️ Our reasons for recommending:
- Varied food menu
- Great customer service
- Delicious dishes
We'd definitely recommend La Dolce Vita. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food and when coupled with a great atmosphere there is no doubt that this is worth visiting. The outside seating was also great, being in such close proximity to Kilmainham Gaol enhanced our experience there quite a bit. However one thing we did note was the table setting not being clearly labelled, so watch out for other customers who may be looking to sit at their tables too!
The customer service at La Dolce Vita was amazing as well – despite being alone on the day of our visit, she was incredibly professional and accommodating. Every dish on offer tasted wonderfully fresh and bursting with flavor – special mention goes to the open-faced sandwich prosciutto which really impressed us!
Overall if you're looking for an enjoyable dining experience after exploring Kilmainham Gaol then look no further than La Dolce Vita; affordably priced yet top-notch quality food with excellent customer service make this eatery an absolute winner!

I had the pleasure of dining at Sprezzatura recently and I can tell you first hand it is well worth visiting! The food is made with fresh ingredients, ranging from traditional to more innovative sauces. All plates are very generous in portion size, and you get a lot for your money. The atmosphere too is really nice; everything from staff friendlyness to decor gives off a pleasant Italian vibe.
The Staff are friendly and helpful – my server Sara was great! I especially appreciate them offering non-traditional meat dishes as options on their menu that use plant based alternatives but still taste delicious. They also have great starters like burrata – which were amazing.
Overall, if you're looking for high quality Italian food for reasonable prices then Sprezzatura should definitely be one of your go-to spots when in Dublin 8! Terra Madre
☝️ Our reasons for recommending:
- Authentic Italian cooking.
- Delicious fresh ingredients.
- Cozy sweet hospitality.
The first thing to love about Terra Madre is the atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, it feels like walking into a family owned trattoria in Italy. The warm hospitality of the husband-and-wife duo running the restaurant makes your experience more enjoyable, as you feel part of this little Italian world.
We decided to try their traditional meals and they didn’t disappoint; all were crafted with fresh ingredients and expert taste. The Burrata was delectable, each ravioli was beyond perfection and the Salted Caramel Pannacotta an absolute delight! Quite simply exquisite – just what Italian food should be like!
Once again we were reminded that great service doesn't need to come at sky high prices, making Terra Madre a place worth visiting (even if you need to book several days ahead due capacity limits). Put them on top of your list when visiting Dublin – or any other parts of Ireland – for authentic Italian cooking and cozy sweet hospitality.

Dall'Italia Pastabar
☝️ Our reasons for recommending:
- Delicious, hot food.
- Customizable menu.
- Fresh ingredients.
Dall'Italia Pastabar thoroughly deserves its Google rating of 4.4 stars out of five and more than 325 reviews. The restaurant is a hidden gem in Saint Kevin’s, tucked away on Camden Street, where fresh ingredients combine to create delicious hot dishes from the flavorful pasta menu. As soon as my partner and I walked in we were inspired by the simple yet modern decor, it was cozy and inviting.
The star of Dall'Italia's show is their customizable meals that allow customers to choose whatever combination or toppings they would like for their pasta bowls – from olives to parmesan cheese – ensuring satisfaction with every order! We went all out on our first visit: carbonara with added vegetables such as red peppers, onion, and chorizo. The flavors were lovely; enhanced by the freshly chopped vegetables we picked ourselves as an extra topping option available in the restaurant. Even better? Everything was really reasonably priced which earns this place undivided loyalty points right there!
Last but certainly not least: amazing customer service throughout our visit here! Staff members are friendly and attentive without being pushy so they earn extra kudos here too! What a wonderful experience overall at Dall'Italia Pastabar– absolutely worth visiting again soon if you're ever in Dublin looking for great food
