Laughter Lounge
⭐ A Personal Take on Laughter Lounge:
Laughter Lounge is a must-visit place for anyone who loves to laugh and have a good time. The atmosphere in the venue is electric, with an excellent seating arrangement that ensures everyone has a clear view of the stage. No matter your type of humor, there will be something for you as each comedian brings their unique style to the set. Cherry Comedy at Whelan's
⭐ An Unfiltered Assessment of Cherry Comedy at Whelan's:
I have to say, Cherry Comedy at Whelan's is one of the best comedy nights in Dublin. I've been going for a few months now and every time I go it gets better and better! The venue is great, it's intimate which creates a fantastic atmosphere for stand up. But it's not just the venue that makes this night so special; the host Duane Doogan is hilarious! Seriously, why isn't he a bigger name in comedy? He had me laughing from start to finish. It's no surprise that people are raving about him on Google Reviews.
What I really love about Cherry Comedy though, is their support of new comedians. They're always looking to give newcomers a chance and as someone who performed there recently, they couldn't have been more helpful or encouraging. The lads who run the night are lovely too – super friendly and always happy to chat before or after the show.
But let's not forget about the acts themselves! The standard of performers on any given night is usually quite high and occasionally you'll get some big names trying out new material for audiences like us (think Neil Delamere or Foil Arms & Hog). Comedy at The International
⭐ Our Unvarnished Impressions of Comedy at The International:
I recently had the pleasure of going to Comedy at The International in Dublin and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience! As a lover of comedy, I can honestly say this is one of the best shows I've ever been to. From start to finish, every comedian absolutely killed it on stage. The acts were well-curated, with each performer bringing their own unique style and energy that kept the audience roaring with laughter all night long.
The atmosphere was incredible too; there's something special about being surrounded by people who are enjoying themselves just as much as you are. However, while standing for three hours may not be ideal for everyone (myself included), it was difficult to even think about sitting down because I didn't want to miss a single moment!
All in all, Comedy at The International is definitely worth visiting if you're looking for a fun night out or just need some good old fashioned belly laughs. Artane Comedy Club
⭐ Our Genuine Review of Artane Comedy Club:
The Artane Comedy Club is the best thing to happen to north Dublin in a long time. It's located just off Maryfield Avenue, making it accessible for everyone in the surrounding area. The club has become a highlight of the local entertainment scene and never fails to deliver on its promises. Every performance is well organised from start to finish with a fantastic line-up of comedians, who will have you laughing non-stop throughout the night.
What I found most endearing about this comedy club was how community-focused it is. Being able to support local talent while enjoying an array of jokes and funny anecdotes is truly rewarding, especially when shared amongst friends or family members in attendance together. It’s been great seeing events like these come up more often around Dublin – giving people somewhere safe and fun as we get back into experiencing normalcy again.
Overall, if you're looking for something that combines laughs with genuine desire toward creating memorable experiences — look no further than Artane Comedy Club! Whether you've lived here forever or are just visiting Ireland for short-term staycations/explorations – grab some tickets & see what all the fuss is about – You really won't regret it!
The Comedy Cellar
⭐ An Unfiltered Assessment of The Comedy Cellar:
The Comedy Cellar in Dublin is a must-visit spot for anyone who loves live comedy! I recently had the pleasure of checking out this club on a visit to see my son, who is attending school in Dublin. As someone who has visited countless comedy clubs throughout the US, I can confidently say that The Comedy Cellar ranks among my absolute favorites – not just in the US or Ireland, but anywhere in the world!
One of the things that sets The Comedy Cellar apart from other clubs is its consistently great acts. Every comedian we saw during our evening at The Comedy Cellar was hilarious and engaging, keeping us laughing all night long. And while the quality of performers alone would be enough reason to recommend this club, there's much more to love about The Comedy Cellar.
The atmosphere inside The Comedy Cellar is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff members and an audience full of people looking to have a good time. Whether you're visiting as part of a group or solo, you'll feel right at home here. So if you're looking for one of the best spots for live comedy anywhere in the world (yes really!), make sure to add The Comedy Cellar to your list next time you find yourself in Dublin!
Chaplins Bar
⭐ Our Genuine Review of Chaplins Bar:
Chaplins Bar is much more than just a ‘nice cozy bar' with good vibes. This little gem on Hawkins Street in Dublin city centre has been around since the early 1900s and retains all of its old-world charm that keeps customers coming back time and time again. From the moment you walk through the door, you'll be transported to a simpler time when pubs were about conversation, friendship and good craic.
The staff at Chaplins are some of the friendliest people you'll meet, always serving up pints of Guinness with a smile and happy to have a chat if there's time. The atmosphere here is unlike any other bar in Dublin – it's busy enough that there's always something going on, but not so hectic that you can't hear yourself think. I'd particularly recommend coming to Chaplins if you're after a few drinks away from Temple Bar; it's close enough to feel like part of the action but far enough removed for an altogether different experience.
Overall, Chaplins Bar is well worth your visit if you're looking for an authentic Irish pub experience without all the bells and whistles. It may not be as flashy or trendy as some other bars in town, but what it lacks in glitz it more than makes up for in character and charm. If nothing else persuades you to check out this wonderful spot, their deliciously cheap pint prices certainly should!

What Are The Pros And Cons of Visiting a Comedy Club in Dublin
Comedy clubs in Dublin? You're in for a treat! But let's be real here, there are some pros and cons to this topic. So, let's take a closer look.
On the plus side, Dublin has some of the best comedy clubs around. From The Laughter Lounge to The Comedy Cellar, you're bound to have a good time. These venues offer top-notch comedians from Ireland and beyond who will leave your sides splitting with laughter.
But wait, there's more!
Attending a comedy club is also an excellent way to meet new people and make friends. After all, nothing brings people together like shared laughter over hilarious jokes about life experiences.
However – and this might come as no surprise – attending these shows can be quite expensive. Ticket prices can range from €15-30 depending on the venue and performer; not exactly cheap if you ask me.
Another possible downside is that sometimes the humour may not hit everyone's funny bone or could be too offensive for sensitive souls out there (you've been warned). It sucks when you go through all that effort only to end up feeling disappointed because it wasn't what you expected it would be.
In summary: attending one of Dublin’s many comedy clubs can bring lots of laughs into your life while offering new opportunities for socializing – but at a price point which may limit how often one attends such events coupled with potential disappointment when expectations aren't met due either inappropriate content or simply misaligned taste preferences between performer/audience members alike.
PROS
- Dublin has a thriving comedy scene with numerous clubs to choose from.
- These clubs offer a great night out for those looking for some laughs and entertainment.
- Many of the clubs feature both local and international comedians, offering a diverse range of comedic styles.
CONS
- Some comedy clubs may have strict age restrictions or require ID at the door, limiting access for younger audiences.
- Tickets can be expensive depending on the performer or event, making them less accessible to those on a budget.
- As with any live performance, there is always the risk of disappointment if you don't find the comedian's material funny.
Conclusion
We've come to the end of our journey through Dublin's top comedy clubs. I hope you're feeling inspired and ready to hit the town for some good laughs – because trust me, there are plenty of options out there.
Whether you're a seasoned pro or a first-time chuckler, Dublin has something for everyone when it comes to comedy clubs. From intimate venues with up-and-coming acts to larger theatres that attract big names in the industry, this city has it all.
