Dublin Amy Avatar photo
Best Bed and Breakfasts in Dublin

If you’re looking for a cosy, hospitable experience during your stay in Ireland without breaking the bank, look no further than the classic Bed and Breakfast. The only problem is that choosing from Dublin’s extensive list of B&Bs can be overwhelming.

As someone who spent months backpacking through Europe and staying in every kind of accommodation (even a 12-person hostel room with one bathroom), I have had my fair share of experiences with bed and breakfasts. And let me tell you – they are genuinely something special. Not just because they offer affordable prices, but because they provide an intimate look into local culture.

Plus, there’s nothing quite like being personally taken care of by some welcoming hosts eager to give tips on what to do around town…unless you run into those cringe-worthy ones who won’t stop talking about their home decorating choices. But don’t worry! You won’t find any stiff owners or dull interiors on this list–just the best cosy homes away from home situated throughout Dublin that both tourists and locals appreciate. So pack your bags, break out those ‘good walking shoes,’ grab as many guidebooks as possible before departure…and let’s get going!

Key Takeaways:
Here’s what you’ll learn from reading this article

  • Dublin has a great selection of bed and breakfasts that cater to different budgets, preferences, and locations. Whether you’re looking for a quaint and charming place in the heart of the city or a peaceful getaway on the outskirts, there’s something for everyone.
  • Many of the best bed and breakfasts in Dublin boast unique features that set them apart from standard hotels. Consisting typically of smaller properties with fewer rooms which adds to their appeal.
  • Bed and Breakfast establishments offer an excellent opportunity to experience local hospitality while exploring the city. Most owners/operators personally host their guests making every effort to ensure quality service.
  • Travellers who opt for bed and breakfast lodging can enjoy delicious homemade breakfast offerings like scones, bacon rashers, and eggs benedict coupled traditionally with freshly brewed tea or coffee presented oftentimes artistically.
  • You can also find budget-friendly options without sacrificing comfort or convenience at these types of accommodation establishments across all price ranges.

☝️ How we rated the services below:

In our review process for selecting the best Bed and Breakfasts in Dublin, we considered the following criteria:

  • Location: One of the most important factors that we considered was the location of each Bed and Breakfast. We looked for places that were conveniently located near public transportation or within walking distance of major tourist attractions.
  • Ambience: The ambience of a B&B can make all difference when it comes to your overall experience. We sought out charming properties with cosy furnishings, unique decor, and an inviting atmosphere.
  • Hospitality: A friendly welcome is crucial for any lodging experience, but especially at a bed and breakfast where guests are essentially invited into someone’s home. Thus we assessed how courteous hosts were throughout guest interactions involving communication (before arrival), during check-in/out processes and through common areas.
  • Cleanliness: Cleanliness is vital in hospitality sectors hence we conducted adequate research on this key criterion before compiling our reviews including ratings from previous customers available anywhere possible such as TripAdvisor
  • Amenities: Finally, we looked beyond just basic amenities like free Wi-Fi or bathrobes and towel sets provided per guest room; instead, higher-rated accommodation options offered extra conveniences like private balcony/terrace views overlooking stunning landmarks across Dublin!

It’s served fresh every morning, cooked just right with high-quality ingredients – definitely worth waking up early for!

Marie’s Bed and Breakfast

Marie

⭐ Our Honest Opinion of Marie’s Bed and Breakfast:

Marie’s Bed and Breakfast is a true gem located in Kilmore, Dublin. I had the pleasure of staying here back in July and was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of my visit. The three Brothers who own the B&B work together seamlessly to provide their guests with exceptional service from beginning to end. Not only were they accommodating, but they went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable.

The rooms are spotless clean and comfortable with coffee/tea making facilities available for use at any time. Additionally, there were vegan alternatives on offer during breakfast which was a pleasant surprise as many places don’t cater well for vegans. Speaking of breakfast, this meal was freshly prepared each morning by the brothers themselves! And what made it even more special was that it included great vegan options which I loved!

What stood out about Marie’s Bed and Breakfast most though, was how warm-hearted everyone was; from Toni picking me up from Beaumont Hospital (where we’d just admitted someone) to providing useful guidance regarding the area as tourism research wasn’t readily available then, these guys will go out of their way to help you feel like part of the family. The location being not too far from Dublin airport meant getting there wasn’t a problem either!. If you’re looking for an excellent customer service experience mixed with cleanliness & comfortability; look no further than Marie’s — Highly recommended!

  • Compassionate and helpful staff
  • Clean rooms and excellent service
  • Good breakfast with vegan options

House Dublin is an unbeatable dining destination for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience right in the heart of Saint Kevin’s, Dublin. What sets this venue apart from others is its ability to deliver consistently classic service that never seems outdated or overdone. The moment I entered the restaurant, I felt like royalty with its chic and modern ambience.

I was particularly impressed by how they served our food at once instead of staggering it, which shows off their professionalism. From starters to dessert everything was well-cooked, presented elegantly and tasted amazing! Although my starter wasn’t necessarily my favourite dish on the menu I believe it’s always great to try new things and broaden your pallette.

The highlight of my visit came when enjoying dinner in their garden; an atmosphere designed to put you into complete relaxation mode. 3. May not be as convenient for business travellers needing access to conferences or meeting spaces within larger hotel complexes.
