Best of Howth
Ever wondered what makes Howth so special? Let me take you on a tour of this charming seaside village!
Howth, just a short train ride from Dublin’s city centre, is steeped in history and brimming with picturesque views. This little gem has a rich past, with roots tracing back to the Viking era. You can almost feel the history as you stroll through its quaint streets.
One of my favourite spots in Howth is the cliff walk. The panoramic views of the Irish Sea are absolutely breathtaking. Don’t miss the ancient ruins of St. Mary’s Abbey, a quiet reminder of the village’s storied past.
For a taste of local flavour, head to the Howth Market. Here, you’ll find an array of artisan foods and unique crafts. It’s the perfect place to pick up a souvenir or enjoy a delicious bite.
And here’s a tip: make sure to visit Howth Castle. It’s a beautiful piece of architecture surrounded by enchanting gardens. The rhododendrons in bloom are a sight to behold!
