I ordered a Full Irish breakfast at 5 p.m. and it still was served 😋 love it as it is my favourite dish of any time of day. It was €11.50 and a bottle of cola, glass 330ml, was €3.20 which is quite funny, but I'm not here to judge….

French fries was slightly overcooked, while egg was slightly undercooked, but otherwise it was tasty….

Sin é

⭐ An Unfiltered Assessment of Sin é:

Sin é, what a hidden gem in Cork! From the moment I stepped foot inside this cosy pub, I knew it was going to be a memorable evening. The live music that filled the air was simply mind-blowing. The talented musicians captivated me with their incredible skills, leaving me in awe of their talent. It's not every day you come across such raw musical prowess.

The atmosphere at Sin é is exactly what I look for in an Irish pub – warm, welcoming, and full of character. The kitschy decor added an extra touch of charm to the place. Plus, being conveniently located near my hotel was a delightful bonus on a cold and rainy night.

Credit cards are accepted here and there's ample bar seating as well as a few tables available. Trust me when I say this is one traditional Irish pub you don't want to miss. Whether you're sipping on Guinness or enjoying the lively atmosphere created by fellow patrons, Sin é delivers the true spirit of Ireland.

I can't wait to return soon and experience another unforgettable evening filled with fantastic music, great company and maybe even snag one of those elusive T-shirts! Highly recommended without hesitation – you won't be disappointed!

Upon arriving at Sin é during my visit to Cork for some trad music sessions and pints, I quickly realized why this little gem comes so highly recommended by locals and tourists alike. As we made our way through the packed downstairs area (no seating available!), we found solace upstairs where we could still soak up the tunes while waiting for the musicians to take centre stage.

While navigating through the bustling crowd at the bar proved challenging, it only added to that genuine Irish pub experience we were looking for. Once settled with drinks in hand amidst cheerful camaraderie all around us, it didn't matter that there wasn't a singer taking the lead – instrumental melodies ruled supreme throughout our time there.

From vibrant dance numbers to heart-wrenching ballads and even a sprinkle of American classic rock, the musicians effortlessly transported us to different emotional realms with their enchanting performance. Sin é truly captures the essence of traditional Irish music in an intimate setting that's perfect for both locals and tourists seeking an authentic experience.

But it doesn't end there – they also offer a cozy outdoor seating area where you can enjoy a smoke or engage in lively conversations while being kept warm by nearby heaters. And let's not forget about the lovely pint of Guinness that goes down so smoothly!

With its talented musicians, charming ambiance, friendly staff, and top-notch entertainment, Sin é is an absolute must-visit when exploring Cork. Don't miss out on this amazing pub experience!

Gallagher's Cork

⭐ A Personal Take on Gallagher's Cork:

Gallagher's Cork, oh what a find! I had heard that this place was always buzzing with people, so I just had to see for myself. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! We happened to visit during their special New Year's Eve meal and while it wasn't the normal menu, the food was still top-notch. I opted for the salmon and boy was it delicious. My brother, however, had a slight disappointment with his butternut risotto.

But here's the thing – Gallagher's Cork is more than just good food. The decor is classy yet understated and despite some moments of loud music, the overall experience was enjoyable. It really feels like they've done a complete turnaround from what it used to be years ago. The service was excellent too – attentive waitstaff who made sure we were well taken care of.

Now let's talk about value for money. While the portion sizes were generous (you definitely won't leave hungry), I have to admit that some prices seemed a tad steep. But hey, quality comes at a price right?

All in all, Gallagher's Cork is an absolutely lovely spot for a casual dinner and drinks. The menu may be small but trust me when I say that every item is bursting with flavor. Oh and don't forget to try their unique cocktail creations – they're refreshingly different from the usual suspects.

So why should you visit? Well, because Gallagher’s Cork offers great quality food in cozy surroundings with friendly staff who truly make you feel welcome. It’s like discovering hidden treasure on one of Cork’s trendiest streets! So grab your appetite (and wallet) and head on over there for an unforgettable dining experience

One of the best beer spots I’ve found yet in Cork. They do have a full bar (also a great whiskey selection), but the focus is obviously beer, which is fine with me! I loved everything about it: the selection, the very friendly staff, the atmosphere, …

We were there on a Sunday afternoon, so fairly quiet, but I have a hunch this place gets very busy in the evenings….
